Canvas USA® Privacy Policy · v2.0
Effective Date: September 1, 2026 · Replaces the policy last updated July 20, 2026.
Canvas USA® ("Canvas USA," "we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise — including under Texas law.
It covers our websites, our stores and counters, our quote and check-in forms, and the way we handle your order. Cookies specifically are covered in our Cookie Policy. Your purchase is governed by the Terms of Service.
1) The short version
• We collect what we need to quote, build, ship and support your order, and to run our business.
• We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell sensitive or biometric personal data.
• We do not share your mobile number with anyone for their own marketing.
• You can ask us what we hold, correct it, delete it, or opt out of targeted advertising — and if we say no, you can appeal.
• Ask us anything about this at customerservice@canvasusa.com or 888-341-1234.
• We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell sensitive or biometric personal data.
• We do not share your mobile number with anyone for their own marketing.

2) What we collect
What you give us. Your name, email, mailing and delivery address, phone number, company name where it applies, account login details, and the details of your order — what you bought, the measurements and selections you approved, and your order history. Also anything you write to us in an email, a text, a form or a support conversation.
Payment. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers. We keep the last four digits, the card type and the authorization result so we can match a payment to an order and handle a refund or a dispute.
What we collect automatically. When you use our website: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, pages viewed, times, referring page, clicks, cart and checkout activity, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers use cookies, pixels and tags to run the site, to understand how it is used, and to support email. What each one does, and how to control it, is set out in the Cookie Policy.
From other sources. Our ecommerce and hosting platforms, payment processors, shipping carriers, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, and social platforms where you interact with our content.
Sensitive personal data. We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data — such as racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, health condition, sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, genetic or biometric data, or precise geolocation. We do not sell sensitive personal data and we do not sell biometric personal data.
3) Photographs and anything else you send us
You may send us photographs of a boat, a home, a patio, an installation site or a finished project, along with drawings, sketches, measurements and patterns. We call all of that User Content.
By sending it you confirm it is yours to send, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that anyone identifiable in it has agreed to it being used as described here.
You keep ownership. You grant Canvas USA® a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable license to use it to quote and build your product, handle service and warranty matters, improve what we make, train our team, prevent fraud, and — where it does not identify you personally without your agreement — in our marketing and portfolio.
If you would rather we did not use a photograph of your property in marketing, tell us and we will not. Email customerservice@canvasusa.com. That does not affect our use of it to build and support your order.
4) Why we use it
To quote, build, ship, install and support your order · to take payment and handle refunds and disputes · to answer you · to keep records the law requires us to keep · to improve our products and our website · to detect and prevent fraud · and to send you marketing where you have asked for it or where the law allows it.
5) Who we share it with
Service providers who work for us — ecommerce and website hosting, payment processing, shipping and freight carriers, installers where your order includes installation, email and customer-support tools, analytics, and fraud prevention. They may use it only to do that work for us.
Categories shared: identifiers and contact details, order and transaction details, delivery information, and website and device information. Payment card details go only to the payment processor.
Legal. Where the law requires it, or in response to a subpoena, court order or lawful request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Canvas USA®, our customers or others.
A sale of the business. If Canvas USA® is merged, acquired or sold, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising services may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising under state law. You can opt out — see §8.
6) Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may text you about your order, quote, appointment or service, and — only if you separately agreed — occasional offers. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything.
Message frequency varies with your order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and we send one confirmation; reply HELP for help, or contact us.
Your mobile number and your consent to texts are never shared with or sold to anyone for their own marketing. They go only to the provider that sends the messages, and only to send the messages you asked for.
7) How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as we need them to support the product, honor the warranty, and meet tax, accounting and legal requirements — ordinarily seven years from the order, and longer where a warranty, a claim or a dispute is still open. Quotes that never become orders, and general enquiries, are kept for a shorter period. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.
8) Your rights, and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
• Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it, subject to records we must keep by law
• Opt out of targeted advertising, of any sale of personal data, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these

We may need to verify who you are before we act, and we will not ask for more than we need to do that. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.
We respond within 45 days. Where a request is complex we may take one further 45 days, and we will tell you before we do.
Opt-out preference signals. Some browsers and extensions send an automated privacy signal, such as Global Privacy Control. If you use one and want to be certain your preference is applied to your Canvas USA® records, contact us using either method above and we will apply it and confirm.
Interest-based advertising. You can also opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices and the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org/choices. Those opt-outs are per browser and per device, and clearing your cookies clears them.
9) If we say no — your appeal
If we decline a privacy request we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our decision, or by emailing customerservice@canvasusa.com with "Privacy Rights Appeal" in the subject line.
We will review the appeal and give you a written answer, with our reasons, within 60 days. If we deny the appeal we will give you a way to complain to your state's Attorney General. Texas residents may submit a complaint to the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
10) Texas residents
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to us, and the rights in §8 and the appeal in §9 are available to you. We do not sell personal data for money, and we do not sell sensitive or biometric personal data. Where analytics or advertising services amount to targeted advertising, you may opt out using either method in §8.
11) California residents
If you live in California you have the rights in §8, and in addition the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties it is disclosed to — all of which are set out in §§2, 4 and 5 — and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. Use either method in §8 to exercise a right, and §9 if you want to appeal a decision.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
12) Children
Our website and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly process the personal data of a person aged 13 to 17 for targeted advertising or sell it.
13) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as the law requires.
14) Where your information is held
We operate in the United States and hold information here. If you use our services from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
15) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do we change the Effective Date at the top, and where the change is material we will say so on the website. The version in effect when you use our services is the one that applies.
